Jane Andrea Simons passed away peacefully at Saint Michael's Hospital in Stevens Point on Friday, Jan. 29, 2010, with her family by her side.
Jane was born in Providence, R.I., to Mary and Francis Heffernan. She married Donald Simons on Oct. 7, 1950. Jane and Don lived in Milwaukee and Durham, N.H., before moving to Wausau in 1965.
Jane is survived by her husband, Don, 5625 Sandpiper Drive, Stevens Point; her daughter, Mary Hackett (Terry), Stevens Point; her son, Ted Simons (Pam), Raleigh, N.C.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at Church of the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Wausau on Monday, Feb. 1, 2010, at 11 a.m.
