I had the great blessing of being welcomed into their family fold when I connected with my brother Rodney after many years. Mary, Rodney's wife is Grace's daughter. When I later married, my husband Harry and I were loved by Grace and Warren as if we had always been a part of the family from the beginning. I am greatly blessed by the memory of their visit to Alaska. In fact, I use photos of their trip (the Lensmiers and Krautkramers) in a personal album I circulate through out my rail car as I conduct tours. I loved touring her gardens and receiving much needed advice, hearing her stories of old (and new) endeavors, admiring her many pieces of art and artistic projects, but especially sharing our faith. Her hospitality and kindness will live in my heart forever.
Thank you Grace, for touching our lives so sweetly. Cheri (Sobczak) and Harry Crippen

What a wonderful neighbor at Lake DuBay. We shared many memories of Medjagore (sp) and all of her enterprises. She welcomed Sally and me into her life and I remember when they bought the lot next to Tom Copps how excited she and Warren for their landscaping and gardening. Many cups of coffee and great life lessons. Yhank you Grace and family for treasured memories. Rick and Sally Frederick

To all closest to Grace,
My heart breaks at the news of the loss of Grace. Hers was a life fully lived, and lived it in very essence of her name - Grace. As the first executive director of CAP Services, she was a force. She modeled the power of listening to people to understand how to support them. She led the organization in a time where few women held leadership positions and she paved the way for many after her. CAP Services' honored her legacy with the naming of the Grace Lensmire Room at CAP's office. It features a portrait of her - by her niece - artist Deb Wolding. CAP also named a street after her in a housing project in Waupaca - Lensmire Drive- both small tokens of our appreciation for all she did and all she means to CAP. I was so lucky to get to know her and some of her famiily. She will long be remembered and treasured. My thought and prayers are with all of you. Mary Patoka
