Obituary

Carol L. Hintz, of Stevens Point passed away surrounded by her family at home in the care of Hospice, on Thursday, June 17, 2021.
Carol was born on September 29, 1946 in Baltimore, Maryland, the daughter of the late Louise and Walter Smith. She was also raised by Marie and Royal Henson of Merrill, Wisconsin. Her marriage to Dennis R. Hintz took place on April 1, 1967 at St. Joseph’s Church. She was employed for 26 years at what is now Trigs, until retiring in July, 2007.
Carol is survived by her husband Dennis, sons Jeff Hintz and Jason (Alyssa) Hintz, daughter Dana Skoug, grandsons Andrew and Kyle Skoug, and Brody and Parker Hintz. Sisters Linda Forney, Christine (Fred) Knauer, and Betty (Harris) Gilroy. Brothers John (Brenda) Henson and Dick (Judy) Henson. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, legal guardians, brother Robert Henson, sister Kathleen Henson, and grandson Adam Skoug.
To my breakfast club, you gave me wonderful memories. I will miss you all.
The family would like to give special thanks to Heartland Hospice for their exceptional care.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Heartland Hospice, the Portage County Humane Society, or PBS Wisconsin would be greatly appreciated.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Carol will be held on Monday, June 28 at 11 a.m. at Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church, 1709 Wyatt Ave., Stevens Point. A visitation will be held on Monday at the church from 10 a.m. until time of Mass. At the request of the family, casual dress is acceptable.
